MyFreshFridge ("we", "us") helps households track food, plan meals and cook. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

• Account details: email address, display name and kitchen name.
• Kitchen content: inventory items, shopping lists, meal plans, saved recipes, cookbooks, ratings, supplements and kitchen tools.
• Preferences: dietary needs, allergies, household and nutrition goals, taste notes and theme.
• Uploads: receipt photos, recipe card scans, recipe photos and forwarded receipt emails.
• Messages you send us, such as feedback or partner inquiries.

Information collected automatically

We record how the app is used — for example recipes you save, cook, plan or remove, pages you view, and plan pages you visit. We use this to personalize suggestions for your household and to improve the app. Popular dishes may be shown to other households only as anonymous, combined favorites; nothing that identifies you is shared. We also keep basic technical data such as device type and error reports.

How we use AI

To read receipts and recipe cards, generate recipes, suggest swaps, drink pairings and images, we send the relevant content (like a photo or your ingredient list and preferences) to AI service providers that process it on our behalf. We do not sell this content, and it is not used to identify you.

How we share information

• Household members you invite can see the shared kitchen, meal plans, recipes and supplements.
• Service providers who host our app, store data, send notifications and process payments.
• Affiliate partners such as Amazon learn that a click came from us when you follow a product link; they do not receive your kitchen data.
• When required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

We do not sell your personal information.

Notifications and calendar

If you turn on push notifications, we store a device token to deliver alerts. If you use calendar sync, a private link lets your calendar read your meal plan; you can reset it at any time.

Your choices

• Edit or delete your kitchen content and preferences in the app at any time.
• Turn behavior tracking and notifications on or off in Settings.
• Request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by contacting us; we will respond within 30 days.

Retention and security

We keep your information while your account is active and delete it within a reasonable period after you ask us to close your account, unless we must keep it by law. Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to your account and household.

Children

MyFreshFridge is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
